Mass movements represent a threat in habitable regions, preferably in areas with higher slope amplitudes. Ouro Preto faces significant challenges related to these events, which cause material damage, threaten lives and impact urban development. The application of geoprocessing emerges as a valuable tool for identifying and mapping areas susceptible to these geodynamic events. The importance of using the susceptibility map by public managers in territorial planning is highlighted, aiming to manage geotechnical risks and promote a safe urban environment. To prepare the susceptibility map for this research, the occurrences verified in the landslide inventories mapped by the SGB-CPRM were tabulated, which served as a fundamental basis for validation and precision of the results. Thaís process involved the combination and weighting of geotechnical and environmental parameters relevant to the application of the AHP multicriteria analysis. Based on these attributes, map algebra was applied to generate the susceptibility. The carried out zoning revealed a good predictive capacity of the map. This research concluded that approximately 38% of the Ouro Preto area has a high or very high degree of susceptibility to landslides. As a result, this region was classified as a priority for consideration by an allert system for extreme geodynamic events.
