In the Cerrado, the incidence of annual fires is high and frequent due to its suppression by the expansion of agriculture in areas with native vegetation and fires associated with natural phenomena, as well as deforestation and agricultural activities. Thus, this research aimed to analyze and estimate the spatial and temporal dynamics of fire incidence in the Sempre-Vivas National Park (MG) and its adjacent areas, with total area of 1241.06 km² inserted in the municipalities of Olhos d’água, Bocaiúva, Diamantina, and Buenópolis. For this, were used the Thematic Mapper (TM) on board Landsat-5, Operational Land Imager (OLI) on board Landsat-8 and the Linear Imaging Self-Scanner (LISSIII) on board Resourcesat-1to map the areas affected by fires from 1985 to 2019. In addition, fires were analyzed with precipitation data obtained from the Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station (CHIRPS) sensor and MapBiomas product were used to analyze the land use and land cover changes. The results showed that there was an increase of 14% in the occurrence of burned areas in 34 years (1985-2019) and a 48% reduction in relation to the years prior to the creation of the park, in 2002. The results showed that the main alterations from the fires in its natural vegetation occurred in Savana Formation (2,369.41 km²), Campestre Formation (1,108.87 km²), Pasture (502.63 km²) and Forest Formation (198.35 km²). Therefore, this study can assist in the elaboration of an action plan aimed at the insertion of the local community in the planning and management of the park, the recovery of burnt areas and the control of fires in these areas, being of great importance to assist in inspection.
