This work aims to analyze how the approaches carried out between landscape and soil are presented in a 6th grade Geography textbook, in order to observe how the relations that soils maintain with other elements present in landscapes are considered. To this end, a book approved in the Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD) entitled “Geração Alpha Geografia” (2018) was considered. This book was published by the SM. Methodologically, a descriptive and exploratory research was chosen. Data collection was carried out from the reading of the textbook, in which two chapters were selected. The content related to the subject landscape and soils as a central theme. The results show that the analyzed chapters do not relate the soil to the landscape and vice versa, even though in every formation of a landscape the natural element soil is present interacting with the climate, relief, time, among other essential elements in its composition.
