Abstract

The Brazilian Savannah, seeking to attend a modernizing project, has undergone deep changes in the productive field, especially since 1970. Period in which policies of colonization and national integration come to govern new social relations and orchestrate population displacement to areas previously considered to be “empty spaces”. This paper aims to present a reflection on the power networks that involve the agricultural technological diffusion and the convincing processes for adoption of these new technologies for agribusiness. In the state of Mato Grosso, productive specialization in the field linked to agribusiness and, consequently, to market laws, ends up creating different conflicts in the field and in the struggle for power at different scales of society. Therefore, this research, seeking answers to this scenario, sees technological diffusion as a powerful instrument of persuasion and convincing, crystallized by the high standard of technical events and technologies trade shows aimed at modern agricultural production.
