This work emphasizes the importance of historical and documentary landscape painting for the city of Cametá (PA), based on the need to work on alternative practices for education, promotion, and valuing heritage through canvases, listing the history contained in the pictorial heritage represented by the painters and the subjects who were part of it. From this perspective, our general objective is to analyze the spatial production of the city of Cametá through historical and documentary landscape painting. The methodology used included bibliographical and documentary analysis, fieldwork, and the appreciation of canvases, focusing on historical and landscape painting and the territorial formations of the Amazon and Cametá, to reveal the development of Cametá's memory and history. As a result, we found that the paintings are linked to the contexts of local socio-spatial formation, representing material and immaterial heritages of the city, which provides an opportunity for society in general to get to know its historiography, as well as to understand the contemporary transformations in space, making it possible to work with Heritage Education.
