With the deepening of modernization and the growing interdependence among science, technology and information, Brazilian agricultural activity has undergone profound transformations, resulting in new productive and spatial (re)arrangements, both in the countryside and in the city. The new agriculture model – regulated by the market economy – made functional cities appear in the modern countryside, which now have new functions and impose, from the diffusion of globalized patterns of production and consumption, new countryside-city relations. . In this context, we can exemplify Chapecó/SC, which has a large part of its activities associated with the spatial circuits of poultry and swine production. In this way, the objective this study is centered on analyzing the specificities that involve the productive fabric of the meat agroindustry - organized from the integration system - and its relationship with the components of productive consumption. In order to understand this process, the methodological path of this research basically considered bibliographic and documental research, systematization of a database with information from primary and secondary sources and the performance of field work. This study revealed that the restrictions on the production process imposed by the integration system do not limit the expansion and diffusion of productive consumption.
