Abstract
The essay is composed of images of the preparation and drawings of the parade day of the Achiote TOTAL carnival block, which took place on February 23, 2019 in the streets of Medellín, Colombia. In this city, street carnival was banned in 1916 and was not celebrated as before. We took its streets in red from the idea of passionate/political revenge, after joining together for weeks at a time creating paraphernalia and disguises collectively. Achiote (spanish for Urucum) TOTAL was a small and unique carnival that dyed part of the city center, gathered people, occupied the streets and caused noise wherever it went.
