Abstract

The visual essay presents only the opening poem and the documents contained in the book Sou Aquela Mulher do Canto Esquerdo do Quadro (2019). The book is an incarnated narrative about anarchist women. The story is led by a narrator: The Woman in the Left Corner of the Picture. Her friend of hers Tita Mundo is another voice present in the book and she reports on her strike activities in Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. Affective documents and memories intersect with historical facts, such as the Strike of 1917 in São Paulo, Strike of the Tenants in Veracruz and migratory flows between Brazil and Argentina. Excerpts from publications by anarchist women, such as Maria Lacerda de Moura, Maria A Soares and Luce Fabbri, coexist with reports on persecutions, strikes and daily life. The essay was worked from the book project whose data are: Conception and text by Fernanda Grigolin. Graphic design by Laura Daviña. Languages: Portuguese and Spanish. 32-page book, 20 × 15 format, contains four printed images of typographic clichés
