Tentativa de Aplicação da Técnica de Pictomapas às Ortofotocartas

Abstract
O processo aqui referenciado (pictomapa), chamou-nos atenção pela possibilidade de seu emprego em ortofotocartas. Observando a crescente utilização que se vem dando às ortofotocartas, principalmente nas escalas grandes, às quais também se adaptam melhor os pictomapas, e lembrados que a Cartografia além de ciência é também arte, pensamos na possibilidade de utilização da técnica de confecção de pictomapas (preconizada para aplicação em mosaicos fotográficos), como meio de suavizar a “austeridade” das ortofotos, propiciando um produto final mais elaborado, mais agradável (aspecto artístico) para o usuário e que ao mesmo tempo permite uma melhor e mais rápida visualização e interpretação de detalhes, pela presença das cores.
