Abstract
O Projeto RADAM, tendo executado a cobertura de mais de 50% do território nacional e já divulgado boa parte dos resultados, vem polarizando as atenções, tanto dos técnicos e usuários, como das autoridades responsáveis pelos planos de desenvolvimento do país.
Torna-se, consequentemente, oportuno avaliar as possibilidades do sistema, não apenas como aplicado no Projeto RADAM, mas em sua contínua evolução, atendidas novas especificações que ampliem o campo de ação e a precisão. Nesse sentido, resumimos, a seguir, alguns dados recolhidos em literatura recente e parcialmente confirmados em trabalhos da PROSPEC.
