Abstract
A Convenção de LONDRES de 1909, ao abordar o problema de articulação de folhas da Carta Internacional, recomendou o Sistema atualmente em uso no BRASIL, uma vez que adotado o regulamento pela Diretoria de Serviço Geográfico do Exército (DSG), consta de seu Manual de Normas Gerais, com a modificação de sua edição de 1973.
O esquema de articulação, partindo da Carta Mundial ao Milionésimo (CIM) se estende até a escala 1:25.000, limite de escala da Cartografia Sistemática, nos termos do Decreto-Lei n. 243/67. Escalas maiores pertencem ao grupo de Cartografia Especial a ser regulada oportunamente, segundo o mesmo Decreto-Lei. Em vista disso, cartas e plantas em escalas maiores que 1:25.000, não têm articulação de folha regulamentada.
