Teachers and the relations between remote work and socio-emotional competencies in the Covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

The objective of this article is to relate perceptions of remote work and socio-emotional competencies of teachers in a municipality in the State of Goiás. For the perceptions of remote work, a specific questionnaire was constructed and the Socio-emotional Competencies Scale in Brazil of Macêdo e Silva (2020) was used. 168 teachers participated with a majority presence in the female gender (N=146). The results indicate a strong association between maintaining self-control in emotions and the ability to maintain a satisfactory professional performance in stressful situations (emotional regulation).New investigations and studies in other cultures and regions of the country are indicated.
