Teaching and learning foreign languages for seniors mediated by technology is a field rarely explored in Brazil's scientific studies. Based on a doctoral dissertation, this article addresses theoretical and methodological principles on educational actions for language learning for seniors and experiences of (ack)knowledge(ment) among elderly adults in the role of English learners in an online course. Conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, this action research involved various data collection instruments such as semi-structured questionnaires, reflective diaries of the teacher-researcher, interviews, class recordings, and interactions on WhatsApp. It raised important questions related to human and technical aspects that were considered for adapting pedagogical strategies. The results pointed to different perspectives of the participants on the teacher’s gerontological knowledge, and it was possible to recognize that the senior learners were able to continue and reframe their language learning process, along with the essential development of digital skills and competencies.Downloads
