Author Guidelines

The DiversaPrática Journal accepts unpublished articles in its specialty for publication: classroom experiences and practices within the university setting across various fields, as well as results from studies and research on the subject. Works are accepted in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, provided they adhere to the current orthographic standards of each language.

Conditions for submission:

  1. All works must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) and must not exceed 25 pages.
  2. Author identification and personal information must be removed from the document properties via the Properties option in Word to ensure a blind peer-review process.
  3. Texts must be written in Times New Roman font, size 12. Tables, figures, footnotes, and long quotations must be in size 10. Line spacing should be 1.5 for the main text. Single spacing should be used for references, long quotations, and footnotes. Paragraphs must have a 1.25 cm first-line indent. The page must be formatted with top/left margins of 3 cm and bottom/right margins of 2 cm.
  4. References must not be numbered. They must be left-aligned, single-spaced, and separated from each other by a single blank line.
  5. ABNT standards must be followed according to their latest updates. The standards currently in effect are NBR 10520:2023 (citations) and NBR 6023:2025 (references).
  6. Authors may use the journal's Template for submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

DiversaPrática is an open-access electronic journal that aims to disseminate original and relevant scientific production developed in the field of Higher Education, with a particular focus on Teaching Practices.

  1. The journal DiversaPrática follows the Scielo Guide to Best Practices for Strengthening Ethics in Scientific Publication, and submissions must comply with these guidelines. At the time of submission, in addition to the manuscript, the corresponding author must attach PDFs of the following supplementary documents: the Open Science Compliance Form and the Conflict of Interest Statement.
  2. Authors and co-authors are entirely responsible for the content of the published work, including any parts potentially developed with the assistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is strongly recommended that the use of AI be disclosed in the document via a footnote, where applicable. The Guide for the use of Artificial Intelligence tools and resources in research communication within the Scielo Network should be used as a reference for this purpose. Any AI contribution must be reported clearly and transparently.
  3. The maximum number of authors per publication is 05 (five).
  4. All personal information (full name, Lattes/ORCID link, institution, degree, address) must be entered into the system and must not be identified within the submitted manuscript. The personal information declared in the system is the responsibility of each author. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors are included in the system at the time of submission. No additions to authorship will be permitted after the peer-review phase. All authors must have an ORCID registration, and its inclusion is mandatory at the time of article submission.
  5. There are no fees charged for the submission of articles to this journal.

Submission Stages:

  1. Prepare the text using the journal template without author identification and complete the submission via the journal's system.
  2. At the time of submission, in addition to the work, the corresponding author must attach PDFs of the supplementary documents: the Open Science Compliance Form and the Conflict of Interest Statement.
  3. The submitted text is evaluated by the editorial team to confirm that it meets the journal’s focus and scope criteria. Approved texts proceed to reviewers for double-blind evaluation. Texts that are not approved are returned to the corresponding author with the appropriate justifications.
  4. Following the reviewers' evaluation, three outcomes are possible: (1) work accepted, which will proceed to the publishing stage; (2) work with recommendations, in which authors will have a deadline to make the adjustments requested by the reviewers and requires a new submission; (3) work rejected, which is not accepted for publication in the journal. In all cases, authors receive feedback from the reviewers. To be accepted for publication, the work must be recommended by two reviewers.
  5. After approval, the work proceeds to the publishing stage, where corrections and adjustments are still possible. The work undergoes verification for authenticity and originality (anti-plagiarism software).
