The current situation calls for new paradigms to help society redirect its course towards improving quality of life and environmental quality. Agroforestry Systems (SAF's) Agroecological are a technology that, in addition to promoting sustainable agriculture, have the recognised potential to preserve the environment. The article discusses the creation of Conceptual Models for agroecological AFSs - information tools that integrate sustainability practices in agriculture and strategic actions to achieve the Sustainable Development Objectives related - and can be used by family farmers and institutions working in family farming to help them in their processes of implementing, managing and managing SAFs. In view of the above, the purely scientific methodology and the cross-cutting knowledge of agroforestry farmers in the creation of the Conceptual Models are evident, with the importance of Fieldwork and Participatory Research being highlighted, to which Carlos Rodrigues Brandão's perspectives are integrated, both in the discussion of these techniques and in the analyses and reflections on the constituents of the rural world that the Conceptual Models encompass.
