Abstract

This report aims to present a summary of the field trips developed in the lower course of the São Francisco river downstream of the Xingó dam, between the states of Alagoas and Sergipe. The field trips took place during the master's research developed in the Postgraduate Program in Geography of the Federal University of Sergipe, titled "Between Margins, Lands and Gentes: ways of life and convivialities in the Lower São Francisco". The observations and the interview scripts are based on classic and contemporary references that have contributed to understand the praxis of the production and re-signification of the ribeirinho sertanejo.
