The development of this research seeks to rescue some characteristics of Araguari river's basin beyond discussing the recent transformations that are happening in the area, mainly in function of the construction of hydroeletric. The researched area is located in Araguari's river, between the municipal districts of Uberlândia and Araguari, Minas Gerais' state. The results pointed for a alarming situation because the natural course of Araguari's river will totally be altered with the construction of the "Capim Branco" I and II that, together with another dams for hydroeletric energy already existent "Nova Ponte and Miranda", they will totally modify fluvial characteristics of Araguari's river.
