The spatial association between dengue, and socioeconomic and environmental variables during the epidemic occurred in Campinas, in 2015 was investigated. Bayesian empirical smoothing for incidence rates, and normality tests – applied to the explanatory variables were used. Local Moran's spatial autocorrelation methods (univariate and bivariate) were also used to investigate the spatial association between incidence rates and explanatory variables. The incidence rate showed positive and statistically significant association with the proportion of house-type households, proximity to potential breeding sites for Aedes aegypti, average number of residents per household, and showed negative and statistically significant spatial autocorrelation with average household income. It was concluded that incidence rates were associated with all variables considered.
