Volume 6 (2025) of the Brazilian Electronic Journal of Mathematics (BEJOM) brings together contributions that reflect the thematic and methodological diversity of contemporary mathematical research, encompassing works in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Mathematical Modeling.

The articles address both theoretical foundations—such as studies on singularities, periodic orbits of functions, generalized bi-periodic Lucas-balanced numbers, and the Hermite normal form—and relevant applications of mathematics to real-world contexts. Noteworthy contributions include investigations in epidemiological modeling using the SIR model, as well as analyses of fractals in nature, highlighting the role of mathematics in understanding complex natural phenomena.

The volume also features works focused on mathematics education and outreach, including the use of didactic sequences in teaching functions at the secondary school level, applications of matrices and linear transformations with GeoGebra, and an interdisciplinary approach involving binary numbers, finite fields, and polynomial division in the construction of QR Codes.

By bringing together theoretical, applied, and educational research, this volume reinforces BEJOM’s commitment to open science, plurality of approaches, and the promotion of high-quality mathematical research, fostering dialogue among researchers, educators, and students.
