Abstract
The 10 years of 2013 also marked the resumption of trials for several criminal cases generated as a reaction by the constituted powers to the insurrection. This essay was initially presented orally at the roundtable event: Reflections on State Terrorism, which took place at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, shortly after the sentence that finally acquitted the 23 militants arrested and prosecuted for protesting against the 2014 World Cup. In this oral presentation, I commented on the notion of 'terrorism' applied to the State, as well as our belated acquittal, inserted in the context of discursive wars and disputes of narratives that allow us to understand the present. The oral speech has been adapted here for writing, but the content has been maintained in its entirety.
