Abstract

This article discusses the element of spatiality, proper to contemporary art, which, linked to the work of curators in art today, guides us on the conceptual updates and nomenclature present in the combinations and frictions established among the agents of the Artistic System. In this way, it is proposed to raise broader questions about the field of curatorship, understood and problematized as part of the exhibition project whose addressing aims at links with the system rather than the art circuit itself. Authors from various affiliations among art, philosophy and other fields are called to the discussion in order to define this fertile field constituted by multiple agents, and from which the perspective of the artist-curator is constituted. From the discussion on concepts such as: presentation and instauration; exhibition and exhibition project, system and circuit, two exhibition projects cured for the Glass House of Campinas (SP), entitled "Atravessamentos Poéticos" (september/december/2017) and "Seriações na obra de Marco do Valle" (march/may/2019) are presented and analyzed through its project and exhibition complexity.
