Abstract

The remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) have been widely used in the generation of orthophoto and digital elevation models (MDE), which subsidize geospatial analysis. Occasionally, these analyzes require quick surveys, which makes the use of RPA associated with support points impossible to correct the position, adjust and assess the quality of orthophoto and MDE. Currently, the automated generation of these products is possible through the use of pre-established routines available in programs specialized in the manipulation of images obtained with RPA. Thus, this research is justified by the lack of effective analysis of the processing of images collected with RPA, in which it may contribute methodologically to the quality of the mapping. Therefore, the objective of this work was to extract positional information from cartographic projection points generated in processing routines for the generation of orthophoto in the Agisoft Metashape software. After processing the images, the results with both routines proved to be satisfactory for the extraction of geographic information, however only high-quality routines are shown as an important tool in helping to update the registration. However, for mapping rural areas, processing can be performed in the five processing routines (Lowest, Low, Medium, High and UltraHigh).
