Planning of Geopark Guaritas - Minas do Camaquã/RS Through Classifi cation Of Satellite Imagery and Spatial Analysis of Data on physical environment
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this work the proposed area for the Geopark Guaritas – Minas de Camaquã (RS) was evaluated based on classifi cation
of satellite imagery and spatial analysis from physical environment data, the principal objective is to planning the construction of an architectural infrastructure (visitor center, parking, health and educational workshops) to tourist service
and also a form to preserve the region natural resources. Therefore to achieve this goal were established variables like:
land cover, slope, drainage network, road network, urban sprawl and geosites. The remote sensing techniques were
applied in digital images to generate ground coverage map. These techniques used diff erent fi lters to highlight the edges and the texture patterns from orbital image and also a supervised pixel-based classifi cation to delineate the diff erent
covers of land (like soil, vegetation, rock, water), resulting in a basic map with all current information of the area. The
results obtained in the classifi cation of satellite imagery have been integrated with the other variables in a soil coverage
map using a geo-referenced Information System (GIS). All the data were submitted to a fuzzy multi-criteria analysis,
using several Fuzzy functions according to the type of data and the “AND operator”, however, the hypothesis can be
considered true only if all variables occur together. A Map of Favorability was generated, where the most restricted areas
are the permanent protection areas and the most favorable are those close to roads and geosites and exposed soil areas.
