with the word, a countryside subject and its memories

This work contemplates a narrative about the life history, formation and profession of a former resident of the rural area, in the semi-arid state of Bahia, considered as a case of “success” in relation to his academic/professional career. It is the story of a character / subject coming from rural areas, where the first years (Elementary School I and II) were born, grew up and lived from his trajectory of schooling / training in a multi-seriate school, which classes were taught by a layman teacher. As he reflects on himself, this subject evokes his memories, analyzes his trajectory, and recalls the difficulties and obstacles that have appeared from the beginning of his studies in rural school, through night-time technical education, admission as a teacher in a public university, to his consolidation as a researcher whose research object at the doctoral level was the popular and solidary economy imbricated in a general context with family agriculture and popular education, for him, it is an important public policy for the Territory of Identity Portal do Sertão that can contemplate the educational processes lived throughout this life story.
