Review of the book “La misión sagrada: seis historias sobre qué es ser docente en el Perú” written by teacher and researcher Ricardo Cuenca. The central theme of the work is the construction of professional teacher identity through the analysis of six teacher narratives, capable of mobilizing various dimensions that permeate the training and performance of teachers. Given the importance of professional training and the construction of teacher identity as central components of policies and practices at any stage of education.
