Resumo: O presente artigo apresenta a proposta de cosmologia racional de Aristóteles, o qual tem como principais aspectos sua teoria acerca dos movimentos e a tese da finitude do universo, fazendo, por conseguinte, um paralelo com as concepções cosmológicas de Johannes Kepler e Descartes.

Cosmological assay: Aristotle and the moderns
Abstract: This article presents the proposal of Aristotle’s rational cosmology, which has as main features his theory about the movements and the thesis of the finitude of the universe, making, therefore, a parallel with the cosmological conceptions of Johannes Kepler and Descartes.
