Retelling classics from a gender studies perspective

This paper aims to investigate the potential ruptures of gender scripts in the children's books from 'The Princesses’ Revolution' collection. From the analysis carried out, it is possible to perceive that the books question the current gender standards in the original versions of fairy tales and, therefore, provoke ruptures in the hegemonic normativity.
