Este texto oferece uma análise autoetnográfica da trajetória de um docente surdo no universo do ensino de Libras, com ênfase na Semântica Lexical. A investigação tem como ponto de partida a jornada pessoal e a atuação profissional do autor, evidenciando de que maneira a identidade surda, a comunicação por meio de sinais e a integração à comunidade surda impactam na elaboração de sentidos lexicais em Libras. A metodologia empregada prioriza a dimensão visual-espacial, a utilização da língua de sinais enquanto manifestação cultural e o conhecimento especializado de professores surdos no campo da linguística surda, sob a ótica da Semântica Lexical.
