Cartography and Geoprocessing are fundamental for the compression of spatial data, in addition to the understanding of the distributions of phenomena that occur in space. Epidemiological and health issues, through this bias, can be studied with much property and depth from these areas of knowledge. Thus, this work has the general objective of analyzing the spatial distribution of deaths by COVID-19 in the intra-urban scale of Santa Maria, RS, in 2020, using Geoprocessing tools. It was observed that the spatial behavior of deaths by COVID-19 occurred in neighborhoods with the highest population and movement of people, in addition, from September 2020 on, there was a generalization of deaths across all regions of the city. Therefore, the methodology and discussion presented in this work allowed an understanding of the dynamics of the new Coronavirus in the urban scale of Santa Maria, RS, with information provided by the Epidemiological Surveillance of the municipality.
