Abstract

This essay presents the environmental legislation in the Brazilian penal scope. In a general context, there are several laws to protect the environment, however in this paper, it aims to understand the concepts used and the general provisions of environmental crimes and, in the end, to identify the tipology of crimes according the Law 9,605 of 1998.
