Abstract
With great joy we present to the academic community the dossier “Historical-Cultural Periodization of Human Development”, which brings together contributions from various researchers dedicated to the scientific and socially engaged study of the process of human formation and the elucidation of the dialectic between change and stability that characterizes it. From its specific historical-social context, Daniil B. Elkonin already indicated to us the theoretical and practical relevance of the elaboration of a conceptual system capable of elucidating the problematic of developmental periods in ontogenesis: unveiling the driving forces of the development process - and, Ultimately, the very nature of this process - corresponds to a fundamental chapter in the construction of a new psychological science of historical-cultural matrix, while directing interventions in social practice, giving rise to educational praxis oriented to the promotion of full human development for All our children.
