Abstract

The present research shows the results of geography classes prepared from previous organizers to promote the convergence between mechanical learning and meaningful learning. Using hashtag (#) followed by a short phrase, with no spaces between words, using the Google search engine and also the Google Maps tool, geographic knowledge about the American continent was taught to students of the 8th year of elementary school, starting with contents more general for those specific. In addition to seeking inclusiveness, the goal was to observe the progressive differentiation and the integrative reconciliation of ideas and concepts about this continent, through various tasks that involved student participation and the accompaniment of the teacher in Geography classes. It was concluded that the use of organizers promoted new learning situations, a collaborative environment between teacher and new students and dynamization of classes.
