This article investigates photographic making through the photographic processes of the XIX century named anthotype, and its intersection of digital photography with video in the documentary “Saberes da Terra”. The documentary has as its theme the agroecological agriculture and it is part of the research of the PHD in Media Arts at the Beira do Interior University, based in Portugal. The anthotype technique, from which the images of the documentary are made, is created from the interviewed agroecological farmers' food. The aim of this study is to expand the horizons of photographic making, reaching new openings and expansions through the encounter and contamination of images, expanding the space for poetic experiments. These experiences meet the concepts of expanded photography (Fernandes Junior, 2006) and hybridization of de Couchot (1993). Thus, the article explores the creation of a hybrid and expansive visual field amid pixels of the digital shot, dilated by the artisanal impression given by the anthotype and crossed by the dynamic images of the video, which afterwards becomes the documentary.
