This article is the result of a research project developed in 2019 entitled “Artistic and musical practices with children and young people with disabilities: Inclusion or interaction? ”In Ituiutaba-MG. The objective was to identify whether artistic practices provide an interaction between children and young people with and without disabilities, with regard to the processes of inclusion, school of basic education and APAE, in addition to recognizing the educational processes selected for the development of the participants. The methodological strategy occurs from the meetings with the project participants with subsequent nomothetic analysis that enabled the collection of data for this article. We adopted as a reference the pedagogical principles of Paulo Freire (2005), in addition to the concepts of human development by Vygotsky (1998, 1999, 2000) and Papalia and Feldman (2013). We hope that this work will allow reflections on the realization of artistic practices, giving greater visibility to the inclusion processes resulting from these practices, in order to contribute to inclusive education in Brazil, in addition to being an integral part of the training of undergraduate students.
