Abstract

This paper seeks to discuss and propose notes about Jeff Wall's photography. The text intends to broaden the discussion and realize how features that exceed the poetics of this artist can contribute to the formatting of the concept of Staged-Photograph. This type of image-making is constructed through scenarios and extrapolate notions of reality to flirt with fiction. Therefore, we begin with an analysis of historical discourses about photography and its identification as a source of registry of the real, and also understand its liberation as a faithful representation of the world reality.

Carlos Alberto Donaduzzi, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul

Carlos Alberto Donaduzzi - Fotógrafo e Artista Visual. Doutor em Artes Visuais pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS e Mestre em Arte e Tecnologia pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria – UFSM. Desenvolve pesquisa prática e teórica em fotografia participando de exposições desde 2010, em cidades como Porto Alegre – RS, Brasília – DF , Rio de Janeiro - RJ, Montevidéu, no Uruguai e em Los Angeles (Los Angeles Center of Photography - LACP) e Nova York (International Center of Photography - ICP) - EUA. Seu projeto artístico baseia-se na investigação do cotidiano, através de observações de momentos de intimidade e suas banalidades, fotografados em imagens digitais, analógicas e instantâneas.
