Um estudo sobre os Cursos de Música das Universidades Federais do Rio Grande do Sul

Considering the changes on modern societies, even more multicultural, music teachers are presented with the challenge of teaching for multiple cultures. Following this logic, qualify music teachers during their graduate courses might be a way to provide a solid foundation wich allows them to act with intercuturality. On that sense this article has the objective of discuss about interculturality on music teachers education taking as a base the literature review conducted during a master´s dissertation by the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande Do Sul . In the review there we utilized several data bases from the government containing dissertation and thesis conducted by public institutions all across Brazil, beyond that, the review was also conducted on the largest periodic about music education on the country- Revista da ABEM. The second part of the review was conducted in english and also on a periodic called Journal of Intercultural Education. Results show that the research about interculturality and teachers education on Brazil is scarce. On the other hand there plenty of researchs that have thematics of interest for interculturality,even thought they are taken from different perspectives.
