Abstract

The article aims at the participation of four scientific productivity scholarship professors (CNPq) from a public university in the Midwest in order to understand how motivations and challenges they face to build their scientific careers in the face of gender inequalities that science has historically presented to women.

Silvana Maria Bitencourt, Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso

Professora Adjunta IV do Departamento de Sociologia e Ciência Política da Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso ( Campus Cuiabá) e do Programa de Pós Graduação em Sociologia da UFMT, possui graduação em Ciências Sociais (Licenciatura e Bacharelado/2001), Doutorado (2011) e Mestrado (2006) em Sociologia Política pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, realizou estágio doutoral no Centro de Estudos Sociais da Universidade de Coimbra (Portugal em 2010).
