Remarks on human rights in the eighteenth-century Portugal

Abstract

In the present article, we address the way in which the female universe was apprehended in the eighteenth-century Portugal and we observe how, in this context, there was a gradual acknowledgment of women’s rights, through the affirmation of sex equality and education extended to all.
