Defining girls and boys
the place of affectivity in early childhood

The research analyzes the conceptions of fathers, mothers and educators of children of 24 and 36 months of age in the city of João Pessoa-PB about what it means to be a girl and to be a boy, identifying the place that affectivity occupies in these definitions. Content analysis was used.
