FEMINISMO E RELIGIÃO: conquistas e desafios do século XXI

As religiões e a pesquisa do fenômeno religioso foram significativamente afetadas pelas práticas e estudos feministas no século XX. Uma série de novas questões merece ser colocada diante do novo cenário religioso que se desenha neste terceiro milênio, marcado pela autonomia das mulheres e do seu papel na sociedade desde o século passado. Portanto, há que se perguntar como pesquisar e pensar a religião a partir de uma perspectiva feminista neste momento; o que é religião para as mulheres e como as mulheres vivenciam a religião no terceiro milênio e como as mulheres se apropriam da religião. As novas práticas religiosas, a vinculação das mulheres à religião ou as rupturas com as religiões, protagonizadas pelas mulheres, como alternativas aos espaços tradicionais circunscritos pelo patriarcalismo religioso, bem como, a questão da autonomia e da responsabilidade das mulheres na construção de alternativas espirituais e religiosas na sociedade contemporânea merecem muita atenção e novos estudos. Este texto fará um aporte introdutório com o objetivo de pensar a abordagem feminista para o estudo das religiões no âmbito das Ciências da Religião. Além disso, diante da urgência de se pensar uma ciência complexa, retomará conceitos da epistemologia e da hermenêutica teológica feminista como contribuições metodológicas para o estudo das religiões. Por fim, o texto apresentará questões e protagonismos que se sobressaem na observação da relação das mulheres com a religião no século XXI.

FEMINISM AND RELIGION: achievements and challenges of the 21^ST century

Abstract

Religions and research of the religious phenomena were significantly affected by the practices and feminist studies in the 20^th century. A number of new issues should be placed considering the new religious context that has been presented in this third millennium, marked by the autonomy of women and their role in society since the last century. Therefore, one has to ask how to research and to think religion from a feminist perspective at this time; what religion is for women and how women experience religion in the third millennium and how women appropriate of religion. The new religious practices, the connection of women to religion or the ruptures with religions, spearheaded by women, as alternatives to traditional spaces circumscribed by religious patriarchy, as well as the issue of autonomy and responsibility of women in the construction of spiritual and religious alternatives in the contemporary society deserve attention and further studies. This text will make an introductory contribution in order to think the feminist approach to the study of religions in the context of Science of Religion. In addition, considering the urgent need of thinking a complex science, it will also revisit concepts of epistemology and feminist theological hermeneutics as methodological contributions to the study of religions. Finally, the text will present issues and protagonisms that stand out in the observation of women's relationship to religion in the 21^st century.
