Abstract

The present work addresses the relevance of differential and integral calculus in business and finance. This area of mathematics deals with the study of rates of change and accumulated quantities, allowing for complex and precise analyses in various contexts. In the business world, calculus is used for consistent decision-making, providing tools for analyzing and modeling complex phenomena. Financial mathematics is an example of the application of calculus, used to describe fluctuations in the value of money over time and to determine interest rates, present and future values of investments, among other things. Therefore, differential and integral calculus aids in the process of financial analysis, data analysis, and optimization of production processes, allowing for the identification of strategic growth opportunities.
