Abstract
Accidents involving scorpion stings of the Tityus Serrulatus species, according to the Ministry of Health, have increased in the
country in recent years. In the city of Oliveira (MG) there have been constant reports of the appearance of scorpions of this
species inside homes. In the search for a possible solution to this public health problem, a bibliographic research was carried
out on the population dynamics of this arachnid in order to support the development of a mathematical model that represents
the growth of this population and the effects arising from the insertion of chickens as an artificial predator in the environment
to control and inhibit its appearance inside homes. The theoretical framework built led to the choice of the continuous logistic
growth model with the addition of a predation factor. Simulation of interaction using heuristic data demonstrate that the insertion
of chickens in the environment contributes to the inhibition of the population growth of the scorpion Tityus Serrulatus.
