The aim of this study is to analyze possible factors associated with the epidemiological evolution, according to the incidence of dengue fever in the south region of Brazil. Data was collected on sociodemographic and geographic variables for each of the 1,191 municipalities in south Brazil from DATASUS and IBGE between 2014 and 2022. The data was grouped in a spreadsheet and transformed into Log (x+1) and subjected to descriptive and inferential statistics (Student's t-test, OneWay ANOVA analysis of variance, NMDS and PCA). Among the variables analyzed, it was observed that dengue fever is present in the south region of Brazil, with a positive association with the occurrence related to federal highways (BR 163, BR 101, BR 277, BR 285 and BR 287), latitude between 22ºS and 35ºS, territorial extension and sewage disposal. In addition, March, April and May were the months with the highest occurrence of dengue fever in the region, with 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2022 standing out. There is a heterogeneous pattern of occurrence in the south region, which spreads to previously unreported locations, following a model of possible dengue fever endemization in south of Brazil.
