In the last years, it was possible to observe an intense discursive production about Brazilian schools’ activity and the teaching quality that they offer. Their contents and teaching methods were also rated with their professionals’ performance, mainly the teachers’. Based in a discursive approach, using the theoretical assumptions from Michel Foucault and other researchers close to him, it was proposed the analysis of the teacher’s subjectivation constituted and widespread in different society spaces, such as the academic, the journalistic and the mediatic ones. The enunciative series analyzed here was composed with texts conveyed through journalistic websites and social media, between 2019 and 2021, which ones approached the teaching subject, putting the teacher in a subjectivation position. The undertaken analysis indicated that there are several teachers’ subjectivations disseminated nowadays, including: aunt, communist, indoctrinator, contentist, technical, innovative, researcher, pothead etc. This plurality is permeated by struggles in which the subjectivations compete with each other. The same plurality is also related to the many devices that contest power in the educational field.
