ACTIVE METHODOLOGIES FOR ATTITUDE CHANGES IN THE SCHOOL AND GEOGRAPHIC CONTEXT: CONTRIBUTIONS TO TEACHING GEOGRAPHY

Abstract

With the teachings proposed in the school, it is expected the formation of subjects who have a greater role in social action, in this way, the school that only acts as a space for the reproduction of ideas present in society is no longer enough, it is necessary that geographic education work on content and attitudes that discuss the spatialization of social phenomena with the aim of acting more as a citizen. In this sense, studying the attitudes of students and teachers in the context of Geography becomes important for meaningful learning. To this end, the work aims to reflect on the approach to content in geographic education, discuss the teaching of attitudes at school and in the context of Geography and propose activities based on active methodologies for teaching attitudes. A critical reflection of authors who deal with the subject was carried out, understanding that active methodologies can modify the way in which contents in the field of Geography are worked on, contributing to the learning of attitudes that make students more active as citizens.
