The dissemination of neuroscience to school students is fundamental to expanding understanding of brain function and its impact on learning and behavior, as well as sparking interest in scientific fields and promoting health education. Thus, this article reports on the activities conducted during the 2023 Neuroblitzes, an initiative to promote neuroscience among school students, organized by UNIPAMPA’s POPNEURO University Extension Program. The aim of this study was to report on neuroscience outreach activities and assess their impact on students' understanding of various neuroscience topics. The project team involved a neuroscientist professor and undergraduate and postgraduate students from the fields of Education, Health, and Biological Sciences. Using a method that integrates theory and practice, the activities were adapted and implemented through theoretical explanations followed by practical activities. The effectiveness of the Neuroblitzes was assessed by administering questionnaires with true or false statements on the topic. Finally, the results highlight the importance of the active approach to education and suggest that the Neuroblitzes were effective in improving student’s knowledge of neuroscience and in the professional development of the university students who applied the activities.
