The 2030 Agenda, established by the United Nations, is a global plan to achieve sustainable development, covering various dimensions, including education and agriculture. This work addresses issues related to Sustainable Development, Environmental Education, Education for Sustainable Development, Sustainability and Governance in the current national and global context. In order to make contributions to future studies, as well as discussions that can contribute to the understanding and possible insertion of Education for Sustainable Development in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in private education. Education is an important basis for the successful implementation of the 2030 Agenda, as it permeates society in a transformative way, generating results that cover the reduction of inequalities, and an inclusive environment favors the learning process, as well as being a precursor to various technologies. The sustainability of the planet depends on public and private policies joining forces to integrate economic, social, and environmental aspects. A single public policy should not be expected to achieve all the objectives of the 2030 Agenda; various actions, measures and policies are needed. The active participation of civil society is therefore fundamental to achieving the proposed goals.
