Abstract

The text presented is the transcript of the talk given by Ilo Krugli, on September 11, 2007, at the Federal Technological University of Paraná, in Curitiba, during the event Semana García Lorca. In his conference, Krugli recalled his trajectory, sharing memories of his childhood in Argentina and the way he symbolically felt the playwright and poet Federico García Lorca as his ancestor. He presented aspects of the Spanish author's biography and highlighted the shows he directed with the Ventoforte group with texts written and influenced by Lorca. In his talk, Krugli shared his view on theater and on how to consider the Lorquian work in Brazilian contemporaneity. His lecture was permeated with affection, reflecting on art, freedom and life. To Krugli's speech, some notes and contextualizations are added and a complementary bibliography is indicated.
