This article synthesizes and organizes knowledge arising from the author's experience as a professor in the bachelor’s degree in Dance at the Federal University of Uberlândia, teaching Movement Analysis since 2013 for different groups of students. The class has been offered as a laboratory for body investigation, based on Laban Movement Analysis (LMA). Having this teaching-learning experience as a background, I propose a reflection based in the following questions: how can LMA help in the expansion of creativity in dance? What paths and methods can we use to promote spaces for investigating movement? How can a structured expansion of movement understanding enhance the artistic and pedagogical practices of students and future Dance bachelors?
