This article aims to understand how Eduardo Coutinho works his musical poetics and how it contributes to the vitality of his documentaries. From an analytical and interpretative descriptive analysis of the film As Canções (2011), the objective is to detect the modes of operation of music in the keys ok meaning, sensations and feelings. To do so, we will start from the hypothesis that the film may contain strategies that aim to make feelings emerge in those who appreciate it and that sound is a crucial tool of that strategy.
